One can get lost when there's
so much to miss
in the grit of the grind.
The rifts in the grid.
I'm drifting uptown
through mirrors reflecting
uncertain times.
There's no where to arrive.

This street won't feel again
as it does right now.
It flows into me,
same speed as sound.
Everyone's so high
and I'm falling down.
It won't matter tomorrow,
there's no talk in this town.

I'm here all the time
but, I'm just passing by.
Chasing the cracks
in my fracturing mind.
I don't have space to know
each of my lives.
It's so easy to hide,
walking alone under the dreaming
skyline.

There's so much to miss
from my own black crystal of emptiness...

One can get lost where
the needles hiding the spheres.
I feel my sense of the world
dissolve and disappear.
I'm drifting downtown through shadows
where I'm only a glare
There's no where to arrive.

This block won't keep the shape
that it holds right now.
It's so imposing, I feel disavowed.
Everything's so straight
and I'm winding down.
It won't matter tomorrow,
nothing stays in this town.
